This cruise only gets one star because of the dinning provisions on 2 of the port days.
A fine well maintained ship
On the 2 port days Sitka 10 am to 2 pm and Victoria 6 pm to 11 pm the dinning provision was very unsatisfactory.
At Sitka most people were returning to the ship around 1.30 pm only to find that the dinning rooms were closed and the buffet was in the process of closing .The only dinning options were either pizza or room service.
In Victoria most people leave the ship as soon as she is berthed as we did. We were told that the dinning room would still be open until 10 pm as it had been the rest of the week. We returned to the ship at 9.30 to find that not only was the dinning room closed but so was the buffet. Once again all that was available was pizza until the buffet started its limited late night service.
I would have expected better dinning provision than this considering the fare paid
Very comfortable
They were very good particularly the comedian Jule Barr and the Elton John impersonator. They did one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. It was a pity it was done in an afternoon. Judging by standing room early they were very popular and could have done 2 shows.
Usual Alaskan ports.
Good mix. Many families
