Itinerary: Caribbean
I had a wonderful time on the cruise. The staff should have received a 5 star rating. I would definitely go again.
Public areas were ok. This ship is an older ship. The pools are very small, so we didn't even attempt to get in the pool. The casino is good. Not too much nightlife (dance club/disco's)etc.
Both the Amsterdam dining room and the Lido restaurant were great
Cabin was good. The only problem was, the temperature of the room. Plus, we were at the aft of the ship, so it was loud. Don't know if being near the engines might have hindered our air conditioner from working appropriately. It worked, just didn't keep the room very cool.
Cruise staff is excellent. Entertainment, so so. Kind of boring. We found ourselves going to the movie theatre every night. Not too much to do on the ship as far as entertainment goes.
Stopped in Cartagena, this was great. We did the city excursion. Would definitely do it again. San Blas Islands was the next stop, this itinerary was terrible, very boring and nothing to do, I think they should take this stop off of the itinerary and find another location. Then went to Gatun Lake, great excursion, went and took a tour of the panama canal (gatun locks). Last stop was Half Moon Cay. Beautiful island great buffet and music. Was very windy and kind of cold. Not too much to do there but lay in the hammocks, walk around and eat.
Fellow passengers were between 50 - 70 years of age. Our group was between 30 - 38. Not a problem though, that may be why the activities on board the ship were geared towards the older crowd.
