Date of Trip: August 27, 2004
Itinerary: Alaska
As this was our first cruise ever, it was really better than expected. We booked cruisetour 18 and did the land tour prior to boarding the Ryndam in Seward.
We enjoyed the main dining room and the casino. We sat at a table for four next to the window on the upper level.
Enjoyed all the food both in the dining room and at the Lido. we ate the first night at the Pinnacle Dining room and it was only $10 per person (offered at half price on the first night of the cruise).
We booked suite 033 and certainly don't regret it. The suite life is the only way to go to Alaska. After all, how many times in your lifetime will you go to Alaska.
We enjoyed the crew show and participated in the Newly Wed Game.
Spent a lot of evenings in the casino winning money so we could pay for the shore excursions. The Mrs. won $2760 on one pull of the quarter slot machine; she did bet three quarters though.
Mostly older people like ourselves so we made a lot of friends. We also met Harry and Farley from los Angeles who work for the airlines.
