This cruise was wonderful. You were able to visit with your family and make new friends at the same time. It is definitely something you should try. The beautiful scenery is what got me the most excited.
The lower promenade deck was wonderful.
Food service here was awesome. If you didn't like what the chef had on the menu for the dining room, then you could always go to the Lido deck for food. I guarantee you will find something good to eat.
I didn't really worry about the cabin size that much. The closet space was perfect, and a full sized person can fit in the shower! But you don't have a reason to be in the cabin besides for sleep, because there is so much to do.
The shows on board were great. The magic show was the best.
I am gonna tell you about the regular day aboard the ship was like. In the morning I would usually wake up and go to the Lido Deck for some wonderful breakfast. Next I would usually step outside and take a look at the breath-taking view. After that I usually went swimming in the pool or played ping-pong. On the days of the formals I would go to the spa and get my hair and nails done. I won't go into the rest of the details, but no matter what, you will never run out of things to do.
We (61 and 55) were among the younger passengers - we sent photos to table mates who could not do the excursions; everyone was pleasant and dinner conversation was lively. We missed one dinner (shore excursion) and were missed by the others; we have stayed in touch with several people.
