What a fantastic experience - only regret not having done one before. As formal or as informal as you want from a holiday. the ship isn't full of old people, lots of age ranges. Food, entertainment, facilities, captain & staff and cabins very very good. Lots of choice to do as much or as little as you want. Lots of excursions. Cabin bigger than expected. Bathroom bigger than you would get in a luxury caravan. Very friendly atmosphere. We want to do again but for two weeks next time, and on the same ship, we usually do not go to the same place twice to avoid disappointment but we are confident it won't happen here! We also renewed our wedding vows - what a special day they made for us, including the cabin steward she put ballons in our room, ahh. If you haven't done a cruise before don't delay book now.
Everything on the ship excellent, would have liked an olympic sized swimming pool - but you can't please everyone!!!
the pool was dunk size but there were plenty of areas to sunbath in and likewise plenty of shady areas as well. The waiters walked all around the ship to serve anyone hidden away. Everything spotlessly clean, still can't understand litterbugs & people not using ashtrays though!
Fast, efficient and friendly service. We prefer more formal settings, after chilling all day, for the evening, so found al a carte excellent but other two were just as good in what they provided.
Loads of space, expected a rabbit hutch, even with the bed made up as a double, still had single person walk around space. Enough space to put away two weeks of clothes (I always over pack so there was lots of space) Bathroom adequate cleaned twice a day - bring air freshner.
Excellent, fantastic, super, great shows each evening - a very hard working professional team. The Captain was entertaining, he was very approachable, kept everyone informed of what was happending with the ship, good or bad. he slowed the ship at midnight on the day of the trip to Malta so anyone still up at that time would see the live volcano Stromboli - what an amazing sight
Did 4 x 4 jeep safari around Malta - great scenery and sights of interior Malta as well as some of forts. Stopped at the cove where they filmed Popeye the stage sets are still there.
Went to Pompeii what a massive site - bigger than I thought
Visited St. Tropez and Sorrento, beautiful yachts very expensive. Sorrento lovely coast line but thats all.
Barcelona amazing - want to go back as a city break.
The ship still needs to do more for young people but nursery looked good.
Everyone we spoke with were very friendly and charming, from teenagers to pensioners. Lots of age ranges, exchanged a few numbers as you do on holiday, probably Christmas card list etc. We were having such a great time and we felt as everyone else was as well.
