Island Escape is one of the most warm and inviting cruise ships I have ever stepped foot on I am a 23 yo male whom enjoys lavish tastes and glamour however I was very pleased and surprised how nice and relaxed everything could be unlike many other ships I have cruised on.
Ok the ship was not the most modern looking and the pool was too cold even for my liking and I am Scottish however I would never complain about a thing anything you wanted if they didn't have it they would get it for you. Example as a good scotsman knows the drink of choice is irn-bru which is only widely available in scotland however I asked for this drink on board and wasn't surprised they said no which was fair enough although the next night I went to the same bar and the same barman poured me a ice cold glass of irn bru which the crew had bought in Malaga that day now thats service.
The food was that good I came back 3x heavier than I was before I left
Well you ask there could a full size person fit in the shower and I would have to say yes i'm 6 ft 5 inches and I had more than plenty of room. The cabin yes basic but not that you spend a lot of time in, it's a place to sleep at night.
All brilliant I laughed I cried I went away happy all the time usually with a smile from ear to ear
My itinerary was Palma, Ibiza, Alicante, Malaga, Cadiz and Gibralter and was fabulous
Made some lovely friends onboard that I still keep in touch with and one lady has invited me to come down to london and stay with her for a weekend along with other friends from the ship. Mr M McGlynn Glasgow Scotland UK/
