Itinerary: Mediterranean

Overview
We thought the food ,service and entertainment were first class. The ship in now used by First Choice Holidays, and has been refurbished, since they started using it two years ago. We enjoyed it so much last year we have booked a cruise on Ausonia for this year.

Public Areas
The public areas were very good, with plenty of deck space with sun beds, the casino was fine although small. The show lounge was very good and plenty of room.A nice spot called the orangery where you could sit and read ,or do Jigsaws while looking out to see.

Food and Service
There was only one main dining room with two sittings, but now if you pay extra you can pre book your table and sitting. The dining room was very pleasant as were the staff. The breakfast was buffet style but plenty and well presented, lunch and dinner were waiter sevice, very good service and food of a high standard.

Cabins
The only down side, we booked what was classed a a superior outside cabin,it was very small although enough closset space,it was noisy because after midnight crew seemed to be getting rid of bottles in containers outside of our window,we complained after the first night and they did try to keep the noise down.

Entertainment
We attended every show and thought entertainment some of the best we have had on a cruise ship. The entertainers made the cruise go well,as they did lots of other jobs ,such as looking after the library and the quizes, and on deck entertainment.

Activities
Plenty to do on board,Line Dancing,Aerobics,Quizes.Do not know about babysitting. Ports of call were very good and trips very good although the one to Rome had more walking than most people had expected.Sardinia was a beautiful trip, other places were Athens, Crete,Mykonos, Sicly, all very interesting. Lisbon, not impressed ,Gibralter good for shopping.

Who Goes
The people we shared a table with for the cruise were very good, about same age range and same interests so we spent a lot of time together during the cruise although we are not keeping in touch.
