Itinerary: Mediterranean
My cruise on the Ausonia was the best week of my life. The staff were polite and very helpful, the ship was beautiful and the food was out of
this world. A definate must for any experienced cruiser!
The public areas were very spacious and comfortable. The pool
wasn't too big, but not a disappointment. The Discovery Show Lounge and
Voyager Bar were great night hot-spots.
There are not words to describe the food and service. The
waiters were faultless and the food was perfect. A large variety, and the
theme nights added some spark to dinner. The lunchtime buffets in the
Kontike Bistro were delicious and, as you could choose from a wide variety
of choices and how much you would like, were handy for a light lunch or a
larger appetite.
Our cabin was big enough for the three of us and a full size person
could fit into the shower. I had no problem sleeping. Out of all the people
that we met, none of them did either. With only one wardrobe though,
clothing storage space was limited.
We attended 4 shows whilst on board and the entertainment
team were amazing! 5 star performances!
There was a wide variety of on-shore experiences available. On
our itinerary, we visited Barcelona, Rome, Sete, Pisa and Florence, Pompeii
and Naples. They were all magnificent and definately worth a look.
Our fellow passengers were wonderful. Everyone was so friendly.
We exchanged addresses with one couple and are going to stay with them later
in the year.
