Itinerary: Mediterranean

Overview
Provided you recognize this ship is a floating bed with meals and not a large cruise ship you will not be disappointed. The vessel is older but clean and has acceptable service levels. Primarily used for Island hopping or short visits to various islands. Time spent on vessel generally is limited to the evenings where the ship is going to the next port of call.

Public Areas
Public areas are all clean and reasonably new. Liked to spend time at the Bistro Bar area. Casino was fairly large for the size of the vessel but did not pay exceptionally well. Look at the experience at entertainment but don't expect the slot machines to pay! The pool was not large and measured approximately 12 foot square.

Food and Service
Food was OK with a reasonable variety. Service was acceptable with choices being a buffet for all meals in one dining room and for two meals in the main dining room with the other being from the menu.

Cabins
Cabins were larger than anticipated. Suggest an outside cabin should be requested. Shower fits a normal physique but the curtain gets in the way when using the toilet. Overall the vessel is very quiet. Had cabins on the 2nd and 3rd deck during the two times we were on the ship during the two week vacation.

Entertainment
Elizabeth the Cruise Director is overly 'bubbly' however, the quality of the entertainment is much better than some Caribbean resorts I have visited. Same entertainers/singers/dancers most nights but the theme/costumes changes.

Activities
Visited: Athens, Mykanos, Patmos, Kusadasi, Rhodes, Crete (4 days), Santorini (3 days). Mykanos visited too late in the day to be productive. Kusadasi, visited Ephesus and was really impressed. Santorini was the highlight, although excursions from the ship would not have enough time to appreciate the real beauty of Ia. Suggest the 3 days made it worthwhile.

Who Goes
Have already made arrangements to meet with some of them once we get organised after our return. A group of 16 who never had met before circulated on the same trip configuration and all interacted to various degrees with everyone within the group.
