Itinerary: Mediterranean
We had a terrific time on our cruise of the Greek Islands and Turkey. The ship arrived on time or ahead of schedule to each of our locations. The Perla was a clean but older ship and was a good bargain for the price.
The Perla has a nice deck for sunbathing. The pool is very small and fitness center ceiling was too low! The crow's nest lounge was decent but the DJ was poor.
The food was average to above average - depending on the meal. Great pastries, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Nice selection at most meals. The bartenders need some lessions in mixing - but managed to get basic call drinks correct most of the time. The staff members were very kind and made an effort to get to know guests.
Small cabin but clean and quiet. Bathroom was nice - we had 3 people in our room and it served us well. Staff kept it very clean for us.
Shows were entertaining. We loved GREEK NIGHT!!
We traveled to Istanbul, Mykonos, Kusadasi, Rhodes, Patmos, Santorini, and Crete. Would have skipped Crete if possible and spent more time in Santorini. Excursions were terrific - especially climbing the volcano off Santorini, Ephesis was great, excellent guides.
We went with a tour.
