Itinerary: Caribbean - Western
I enjoyed the 12 day cruise. It gave me time to relax and not have to worry about having to do something all the time. Some people might find it a little too long. The line itself is very different from what most people would expect. It is very european.
The public areas where spacious. There was an outdoor pool with 2 saunas on the aft deck and a pool covered with a retractable glass roof on the forward deck. The pools where very clean and enjoyable. The casino was poor.
The food was good. The service was excellent. There was a buffet on deck for breakfast& lunch, but I preferred the dining room. The pasta dishes where fantastic. The dining room crew was great. There was also a buffet at 11pm which varied each night, mostly sandwiches, desserts, and fruit.
The cabins were very spacious. We had a full bath w/tub, closet space, A living room area with tv, 2 dressers, and 2 beds.
I attending most of the shows and after show activities. With the exception of 3, I found most of the entertainment to be repetitive and I lost interest quickly. The seating in the lounge where the shows where held was poor, half the time you couldn't see the show. The after show activities were boring.
Daytime on board activities consisted mostly of games. We visited St. thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Tortola, and Nassau/paradise island. I took 3 excursions which I enjoyed very much, and they were very organized.
The passengers were mostly european, some british, canadian, and american. The europeans were rude, arrogant, and extremely annoying. If you are sensitive, this is not for you. All of the english speaking people felt the same way. A lot of time it was very uncomfortable because of the culture clash. Most of us had to bite our tongues on several occasions, because of the manners lacking in other passengers.
