Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern

Overview
Short and sweet. I will NOT cruise with this line again. Lack of communication is bad. They do not know how to cater to Americans on vacation - and us Americans like to be cater to. The lack of communication was horrible.

Public Areas
Beautiful ship. The Cotton Club was best. No walk-around promenade. The pools were nice. The casino - well - the slots were tight - as usual. A clean ship.

Food and Service
Buffet and grill on Deck 11 was very bland. The restaurant, however, served excellent food. The service was extremely slow - first night 2-1/2 hours to be served dinner. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing.

The buffet served only water and hot tea and coffee. No choice of juices. I don't think the Italians believe in ice. You have to ask for ice at meal time. They won't bring you a glass of ice, however, a bowl of ice.

Cabins
Way too small. They did have lots of nooks and storage space. The safe was hard to find, however, it is behind the mirror. The safe was a plus. The shower itself was a joke. It was very, very small. A medium size person could not shower in it comfortably at all.

Also, our cabin guy would not give us clean drinking glasses. He wiped out the used ones! Have to ask for ice.

Entertainment
The shows were excellent, except for the last night. One entertainer, Enrico Scotto was excellent. The cruise staff was a 4 out of 5. The entertainers were 5 out of 5.

Activities
The activities and itinerary left a lot to be desired. We stopped at San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Croix and Freeport. They only had 1 shuttle for St. Croix which was a disaster. The times of arrival and departure of not normal. You didn't have much time anywhere.

Who Goes
95% of passengers were 50 and up. 60% of them were 70 to 90. I only saw about 5 kids under 10. A few young adults. Our dinner companions were very nice. The size of the table were for four, which I liked.
