Norwegian Majesty, an NCL ship, which will be replaced by a bigger one in a couple of years, left Boston October 2nd, 2005, toward Bermuda for a 7-night round-trip.

About broken things, an elevator, which we could have used a lot, was broken during the entire trip.

Iced tea is free all the time, but juices and cappuccino, whose machine is often broken, are free only in the morning and during meal time, respectively.

The staff, which work 10 months a year and long hours 7 days a week, are amazingly polite and don't look tired.

Evening shows with guest performers like Rudi Magacci were very good, comparable to the best shows seen at Comedy Central. Although the dancers are quite good, the NCL dancing/singing company in the style of old Broadway was boring except for the last show. None of the shows had special effects or background images but just a plain stage.

My two-years old, untrained, used many times the free and paid kid care services, which allow us, his parents, to relax. The free services are by 3-hour block, separated by 2 hours for lunch and dinner and available only when out of port. However, unlike Carnival, untrained kids cannot be kept for a fee when in port, the reason being that the mandatory pager to notify the parents they need to change diapers, doesn't work on land.

Another annoyance, which is not related to the cruise staff, is that the Bermuda drivers often transfer customers to roads where buses don't pass by or forget to stop at a location as promised.

The disembarkation was improvised for the non-US citizen. That's the only moment I witnessed general frustration on the part of the guests.
