Itinerary: Canada/New England
We did the cruise with our Grandchildren ages 13 and 15. We were very disappointed. Little or nothing of interest for the teens. The ship is in poor repair and parts of it need a good cleaning. The food is very ordinary. The open seating resulted in waits of up to 45 min. for a table. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable.
The public areas were ok but there is no place except the deck to sit and read. Other ships have had a number of such areas. They are sorely needed here as there is no place to sit in your stateroom
The food was very ordinary--the desserts poor. We did NOT like the open seating. We tried the "special restaurant" ($10.00) surcharge. The salmon was cold and overcooked. Get the picture. We also did not like the gratuity charged to our account. We felt that there was little or no incentive to provide outstanding service.
The cabin was spartan. The beds were hard with a very thin mattress. The springs were easily felt. There was no place to sit. There was satisfactory storage. The shower was o.k.
The shows were satisfactory. They were short(45 min). The bingo seemed high $5.00 per card per game. If my wife and I played for an hour it could easily be $100.00!!!
We took a shore excursion in each port. All in all we found them to be expensive and of questionable quality. We did not want to do them on our own as we wanted to show the granddaughters each of the ports.
Mostly older crowd.
