My husband and I have been on many cruises and thought when we booked this ship, since it was so new, what could be wrong. Oh what a mistake we made. Four out of seven nights our room smelled of sewer. When we first reported it they told us it was the sink trap. The next day the smell went away. Day three it was back. After talking to the crew they informed us this is an ongoing problem on the fifth and eighth floor. It is coming in the air intakes from their own filtration system on the ship. A few weeks ago they extended the intake higher but obviously it did not work. They at first deny everything but later gave us a room to sleep in and a room to keep our things in. We also were not the only room with this problem. There were several on our floor that were also sleeping in other rooms. It even went so far that the captain called my husband and friends in to explain how they had dropped the ball. Lucky for us we had a patio door to open to try and bring fresh air in.
No Casino but we knew that. The public areas were nice. Every so often you would get a whiff of sewer. We were told by the ship we should expect that.
The breakfast and lunch buffet were good. Dinner was the worst. Menu selection poor. I think they wanted you to use their special restaurants and pay. One night the entree came before the soup. Another night 40 minutes into dinner we were given an appetizer and soup. At that rate we weren't going to finish until midnight. They blamed the kitchen but the dining room was only one-third filled. Food was alway cold
My cabin comment were at the start. If you don't mind smelling sewer this is the ship for you.
The comedian was awful. The only good entertainment was the Newlywed Game performed by the passengers.
The islands were wonderful. Lucky for us we could get off the ship everyday.
NCL hasn't changed. I always rated them poorly and really do now.
