Great ports of call is this ship's strong point. Turning the outside promenade deck into a jogging track with no deck chairs was a mistake. The pool deck does get very crowded and feel so, during Sea Days. Many dinning options worked out very well for us.
There is a walk-around promenade but no deck chairs. This is the jogging track. During the day, the Observation Lounge is a great place to hang out with being crowded, offering up some great views of the ocean. There are two pools, only one has steps into the pool. Both are surrounded by wooden walls which you can sit on since finding a lounge chair near the pools is almost impossible. The casino is nicely sized with a good choice of slot machines but is used as a walkway for folks exiting the show room.
Freestyle Dinning worked out great for us! Never had a line at any restaurant. Ended up have most dinners at table 216, aft in the 7 Seas room. The food was generally good to very good. The service was fantastic, all meals under one hour if wanted. The buffets in the Garden Cafe and Outside grill sufficed. Volume and variety is the name of the game here. The made to order omelets were very good, don't miss the BBQ on Sea Days. They usually offered up 3 different types of pizza and wings during the cruise.
We had a category BA cabin with Balcony: 1002 all the way forward facing on the Pool Deck (deck 11). This cabin was perfect for the 4 of us with just the right amount of closet space. The balcony facing right over the bow was extra large compared to non-forward facing cabins and had two full size chairs, 2 lounges, and a round table. There was teak decking here -vs- the indoor/outdoor carpet mat.
The shower stall can accommodate a full size person. We had connecting doors to each cabin on either side but the cabin was still pretty soundproof. We did hear the band when ever they played above is in the Observation Lounge and could always hear the most intimate of conversations from those on the outside deck above us.
We missed the first nights show but saw all the others. Jane Powell, Liars Club, JJ Walkers comedy act, and Cirque Pan where the best shows. Did not care for Encore Mr Producer or the Latin Music show. The Cruise Director and assistant were just ok, I've seen much better. They make a mistake of having the Talent Show in the Observation Lounge, a room to small with poor sight lines for this venue.
The 4 ports of call were all great: Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize City, and Cozumel. We did NativeWay's StingRay City/Snorkel tour in GC, toured Roatan on our own, stopping at the Tabyana Beach area, did cave tubing with Reggie in Belize while my wife and daugther did his Zoo/City Tour, and went to Play del Sol and played mini-golf in Cozumel.
Plenty of shipboard activities, you won't get bored. Try the late night shows up on the pool deck. There is a health club with two workout areas. There is also a kids club with child care or babysitting, which we did not utilize
There were 2,224 passengers, over 400 kids (mostly well behaved) We met a few families that turned into buddies for the duration of the cruise. Overall, generally a nice mix of behaved folks.
