Itinerary: Caribbean - Western
We found all aspects of the cruise enjoyable. . week. There were younger people aboard (20 kids under 10) (20 kids under 16) but in no way did they interfere with our plans. Overall a good experience.
There was a walking/jogging promenade deck which we enjoyed. All rooms were easily accessible we were on floor 8, all elevators worked.
We preferred being served, all our meals were served no buffets. There were 5 separate eating areas, three were buffet at breakfast and lunch. All food was meticulously prepared and served. One dining room, the Trattori (pasta restaurant) we found especially noisy due to glass and no sound absorption decor. We did not stay up late except for one night midnight buffet, it was satisfactory but we did not participate as we were not hungry.
We were in an inside cabin, our space was adequate, there was room for everything. We are full size people we had no problem standing in the shower. We heard no noise during the entire week, we were situated in the forward section on the 8th floor.
We enjoy first class entertainment, broadway shows and professional entertainers were exceptional. We are in our 50's, the beat and general sense of a party atmosphere were there all week.
We did our sunbathing and reading. We would have joined a bridge club but it was not that important. We went ashore and arranged a taxi on our own, we saw what we wanted which as usual is not very much, we come more to enjoy the weather and the service, both of which were great.
Yes, we met some nice people who we then dined with a few more times.
