I thought the ship was very nice. I'm 14 years old, so the appearance and quality of the ship wasn't as important to me as who was on the ship. I'm more into the whole meeting new friends concept of cruising, rather than the "getaway from school for a week." I had a lot of fun, and the shows were very good. There were some very good comedians on the ship and they had a lot of activities to do. Overall the cruise was very fun, for me, but if you're an adult, you probably don't care about my opinion, because you'll want to know more about the adult stuff, like, food, which by the way wasn't too great. i've been on carnival and celebrity and there food was much better than Norwegian's. don't get me wrong. it was good food, just not like luxury cruise food. the chocoholics buffet, the thing i cared about most : ) wasn't that good...
The public areas were pretty cool. It had a pretty nice atmosphere. I liked the rooms were you could just go and play cards or board games with your friends. I also like the disco. It wasn't very big, but it was still fun to dance the night away. Although i'm not old enough to be in the casino, walking through it it looked pretty nice. The way it was shaped was cool, it had like an upper walkway to walk through it on. The lounges were nice too. although the tables were sometimes crowded from all the chairs around them. I guess people had big groups the night before...
Since i already talked about the food, i'm not gonna say much more. The service was nice. the waiters were friendly and easy to get to know. By the end of the cruise, you could already have 5 new friends, just by the waiters alone.
Yes, there were buffets, not too great, but okay. If it's your first cruise and you have nothing to compare it to, then it'll be pretty darn good food. Although Celebrity's food is the best!
Well, the cabin had 4 people in it, so of course there wasn't enough space. The shower was the worst part. We had a piece of cloth cornering off a small part of the midget-sized bath room. I know most bathrooms on ships are small, but this was pretty uncomfortable. It wasn't noisy at all, at least i don't remember any noises. One thing i didn't like was our cleaner-upper lady always took our clean clothes that were maybe on a dresser or something and stuffed them into the dirty clothes pile in the corner. i ran out of clothes quite quickly.
The entertainment was great. the shows were excellent. The comedians were hilarious. No complaints here. all i can say is that they were awesome.
The activities (for the teens) were not too great. they acted like we were 8 or something. We're gonna wan do more stuff than just go tanning or play Sega Genisis. So that's why I found my friends on my own free time and we thought of our own fun stuff to do. like sit in the lounges and make funny noises when people walked by. a must do on a cruise like this! it's awesome to see there reactions
Definitely I would love to see my fellow passengers. The only downside is they don't all live in Atlanta. So i'm probably never going to see my friends up in Pennsylvania again... But they were good friends. I still talk to them all the time on the phone and stuff, and the cruise was a year and a half ago!
