Itinerary: Canada
We started in Churchill, Manitoba and cruised to Nunavut the newest Canadian Province. We were looking for wildlife and unfortunately didn't see any polar bear, but we did see: a million birds, seals, walrus, whales caribou. We met the Inuit people and went on wonderful hikes on the tundra.
The ship was very comfortable but not posh. The library was great! The sauna was very enjoyable.
The food was excellent! Again, nothing fancy, but very delicious and more than adequate. The service was absolutely delightful.
The cabins are small, but adequate. We didn't spend much time in them anyway. Instead of using the shower in the bathroom, I used the group shower on a lower deck. No problem with noise. Sometimes it was too warm, but we opened our window and door and got a beautiful cross breeze.
No shows, but interesting lectures and movies. The cruise staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was clear, they wanted us to enjoy our cruise.
The itinerary consisted of zodiac trips to shore or to explore the area. The ports were sometimes populated and sometimes not. Each stop was an adventure.
The people on board had the common interest in the natural world. We sat with different people at every meal and enjoyed the variety of personalities and flexibilities. Some people were more negative than others. There were definitely people who I'd like to get to know better. I traveled to Britain with one of the women I met.
