Itinerary: Transcanal
This is not a cruise I would recommend to ANYONE. Class of people was very low (due to pricing I guess.) Stabilizers either didn't work or weren't being used. IF I were to compare with even Regency or when
she was a Dolphin, she has gone down considerably.
No room was vary intimate. Ship was cut up so there was no walk-around promenade. Casino was full of tacky people. Low dining room ceiling made one feel claustrophobic.
Food was good, dining room service good. Buffet was low cost. and there was no rush to clean tables.
Cabin size was good; due to age of ship. However not much
insulation and you can eavesdrop rather easily on some cabins down the hall.
The worst entertainment I have ever seen in 40 cruises. Most cruise ships go to vanilla; this was worse than that! I had the misfortune
of seeing Fred and Red for the fourth time. To show you, they are at best poor lounge act (even on Regency) Here, they were headliners!
Panama Canal Transit (Partial) Excellent -the reason why we booked her in the first place. San Blas Islands were wonderful. Columbia (Cartagena was unremarkable. Didn't get off ship at Costa Rica.
Spent 2500. on art - this was a good thing; however it says a lot that I
spent more than everyone else COMBINED! Saw some vanilla movies, but spent a lot of time being sick.
Tacky born-again Christians.. (At the talent show most of what was sung were hymns.) Mostly from the Arkansas, Louisiana, and the mid-west
bible belt. I have nothing in common with them- however they would never come to my city of sin (San Francisco)
