Itinerary: Caribbean - Western
This was the most wonderful cruise we have been on - the ship is
smaller that the others we have been on, it is not like a neon palace, and somehow the people became nicer and more real on this cruise. the staff seemed genuinely interested in what we said and did - perhaps we felt more human and less like a number. it was very interesting to be a minority - most of the folks seemed to speak a language other than English - what fun!!!
Yes there is a walk-around on the ship - and the ship is not
that new - which adds to the charm - the feeling that you are on a cruise and not at the fancy new hotel in town - the pool was adequate and the casino was really jumping at night - the shows were quite good .
The food was good - not spectacular but good - usually very good. I don't remember there being a buffet on deck - the midnight buffets
were again adequate but not spectacular. the waiters and bus boys were
excellent - service was great.
Our cabin was very small - a double bed, two nightstands, a small
desk with the tv on it and just enough room to walk - we did not come close to having enough closet and drawer space and left one suitcase packed, changing the clothing 1/2 way through the cruise. Yes the shower was large enough to get clean
The shows and musicians were fine.
Shore activites were great although you could probably get around on your own for less.
Most of our fellow passengers were in their 50's although there were a few in their 20's or 30's.
