SS Seawind Crown

Itinerary: Caribbean - Southern
The Seawind Crown is a true classic cruise ship. Small enough to
dock "in port", No Tenders Needed. Itinerary allows for unusual, out of the
way, ports where you are NOT competing with thousands of other tourists, as
in the eastern caribbean. You have to fly to Aruba to start the cruise, but
the extra effort is worth it to avoid the rough seas that you often
experience when sailing out of Florida.
The Seawind is around seven hundred passengers and has THREE
PROMENADES. Plenty of deck chairs, and the service is excellent. The ship
is quiet, with no loud speaker announcements very few minutes. The pools
and casino are adequate, however the ship is best suited for the "Cruise
Experience".
Food is excellent, However I'm not a food expert. I just
enjoyed the experience. Plenty of choices with great views and fellow
passengers.
Cabin space is good. We didn't spend a lot of time there. Showers
could be a little larger, I'm 6'7", but I made due.
Spouse is 5'2", and she was satisfied.
Entertainment was kind of intimate, no large shows due to the
size of the ship. Again, we enjoyed the entertainment, but the cruise, the
caribbean, and the itinerary was the main reason for sailing the Seawind.
Great ship tours and ports.
Passengers were very polite and a good mix of international passengers.
