Date of Trip: May 8, 2004
Itinerary: Alaska

Overview
Our cruise experience on the Coral Princess was one of the best we had experienced. We did a 14 day back to back to Alaska. The weather was perfect for this time of year. We had a balcony stateroom which is the only way to experience the fantastic views, especially College Fiord.

Public Areas
Ship was easy to get around. Both main lounges had poor sight lines for viewing the shows, for best seats sit near stage. The promenade enabled you to walk around the entire ship. A very comfortable ship, excellent decor. The inside pool area was beautiful.

Food and Service
The food and service was exceptional especially in the Speciality restaurants , Sabatini"s and Bayou Cafe. Allow at least 3 hours to enjoy your meal. Room service was excellent. Afternoon tea is a must, we did't miss one.

Cabins
Our first cabin on Baja had a comfortable balcony. Shower very small. Very quiet room. Our second cabin (2 days later) was a suite on Dolphin Deck 470 square feet of luxury. Whirlpool bath and separate shower, marble bathroom and separate bedroom and living room lots of extras. The verandah was approx. 160 sq. feet.

Entertainment
Cruise staff not as friendly as we have experienced in past cruises. Most of the shows were good. Poor sight line spoiled show performances. Dancers did a excellent job. Duncan Tuck was excellent.

Activities
This was our 7th cruise to Alaska and we went mainly for the ship and scenery. We were disappointed in Glacier Bay since the last time we were there (it was much bigger then) College Fiord was the hightlight of the cruise.

Who Goes
Dress code has got very relaxed and so have the passenger's attitude to smart casual and formal attire. Smart casual is not jeans and sneakers muscle shirts and baseball cap in public areas such as dinner and shows. Formal is not blue jeans (pressed). If this is the way they dress in smart casual resort, how do they dress at home? Enforce dress codes!
