Itinerary: Caribbean
My wife and I have just returned from 2 weeks aboard this magnificent ship. The facilities, entertainment and food were all of the highest standard, will definitely go again.
People who have not cruised have the fear understandably that with 3000+ passengers, it must be crowded. Absolutely not true. There is plenty of room and public areas where one can be quiet and not disturbed.
There is a walk round promenade where you can walk the length and round the bow of the ship. The pools were good size and spotlessly clean. Didn't use the casino.
Where does one start? We opted for the anytime dining, but the buffet food was the same that was available in the formal dining rooms.
It was all of the highest quality and plenty of variety. The staff were always courteous and efficient. Everything kept clean and passengers encouraged to use the sanitizing gel which was available and does provide peace of mind.
We had an inside cabin which had a large mirror on opposite walls making it seem spacious. However there was plenty of room and again the decor was very impressive. The ensuite shower bathroom was of sufficient size for anyone. When we were in our cabin, we were not disturbed by any noise from outside.
We went to a couple of the shows on offer together with comedians/illusionists performing in some of the bars. As 75% of the passengers are American, it was weighted towards them, but that did not spoil our enjoyment.
There were so many activities on board, we just didn't have time to go to all of them and there was a good all round selection for people of all persuasions. We went on shore excursions most days to Barbados, Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Grenada, Bonaire and Aruba. The ones we went on were 'best of' type tours but there were many to choose from particularly for water sports, snorkeling etc.
Fair to say that age group was in the main 50-60s but there were families as well. Everyone whatever nationality were very hospitable and friendly.
