Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern

Overview
The cruise was wonderful. So much to do and see on the ship. Even though the ship was full we never felt crowded and often time could walk around the ship without seeing many people. We did not experience many lines or waiting. We chose personal choice dining where we could eat in what ever dining area we chose and at any time. It was great. No waits and we got to meet many different people. We would choose it again.

Public Areas
Public areas were very comfortable and there were many to choose from. The walk around promenade was great for long walks and it was completely outside. Pools were nice although the only time we went in was for snorkeling instruction. Did not feel overcrowded although most deck chairs were either occupied or had towels on them even though the people had long left.

Food and Service
Food was very good. Portions in the dining room were more sensible although you never left hungary. Best dining was at Sabatini's. Dinner lasted 3 hours with many courses. Diners were encouraged to leave between courses and stretch or walk around a bit if they wanted. Great service and fantastic food. There was a fifteen dollar charge per person for Sabatini's but it was worth it.

Cabins
We had an inside cabin on Caribe deck and it was fine. It was very comfortable with adequate closet and storage space. The bath area and shower were very nice and adequate size. ( I am a very large person). We found our cabin to be very quiet. It was comfortable even though our last cruise on the Sky Princess we had a mini suite we did not feel uncomfortable in this cabin.

Entertainment
Shows were very nice especially the Las Vegas type shows.

Activities
Health club had all the latest equipment and was of adequate size. Stopped at St. Thomas and St. Maarten. did some shopping and snorkeling on St. John. Snorkeling was great but the ride over to St. John in the ferry boat was very choppy and uncomfortable. Enjoyed the stop at Princess Cay the most. Nice beaches, lounge chairs available, sun and shade. Great picnic provided by the ship staff on the island.

Who Goes
Passengers wer mostly middle aged with some older. Few children on this cruise. With the Personal Choice dining we did not get to know anyone particularly in depth. However 2 years ago on an Alaskan trip on the Sky Princess we met a couple we have since visited in Los Angeles and have had stay with us for two weeks on two occassions on the east coast. They were dining partners on the Sky Princess. We are planning to vacation with them again this year.
