Overview
We have just returned from our cruise and felt that we wanted to let you know our thoughts.

The cruise was superbly organised and smooth running, where nothing was to much trouble. there was plenty of entertainment, day and night, too much really!

The cabins were very nice and comfortable, in fact we wanted to bring our cabin steward home with us he was so good!!

The food was excellent and plentiful and waiters helpful. the shows in the evening were fabulous and the nightclub was amazing. We never felt the ship move, which is great for sea sickness sufferers. For a first time cruise we would truly recommend it, in fact we would worry that other cruises liners would not live up to this standard so we will be booking the eastern cruise with princess later on in the year. overall we feel there was a mixture of ages and nationalities (only 69 British!) and we were all catered for.

Public Areas
We found the public areas very pleasant with constant live entertainment day and night. ie live pianist and string quartet etc. We loved most of the dinning rooms especially Sabitinis with its 17 courses!! We didn't like the Painted Desert at all. The food was cold and the service indifferent. the casino was very large and mostly empty. when it was busy it was with loud american women. The pools were quite busy so we stayed away.

Food and Service
As above the food mostly was good. Loved Sabitinis hated Painted Desert. Loved di Vincis and Michelangelo.

Cabins
The cabin was great. We had an outside cabin on baja deck with a balcony. The full sized patio doors made the cabin feel twice as big and was lovely at night to sit on after a hard day relaxing! The cabin steward was great, enough room and storage space. The bathroom was a bit small, but fine for a 7 day cruise.

Entertainment
The cruise director tim seemed to be everywhere and was on some kind of happy pills! Overall the shows were excellent a mixture of everything from comedy to broadway shows. The 'whats up' tv really got on our nerves because it was broadcast like childrens tv (very childish when theres over 2,500 adults on board) There were photographers everywhere which was great but a good way of charging you a fortune for photos that you cannot turn down.

Activities
We really loved Princess Cays and Grand Cayman, it was nice to get off and do our own thing. Costa Maya was not so good. It is a stop over just for cruise ships and really to small with no beach. The tour was disappointing as the tour guide did not speak good English nor did she tell us much about the temples at Chaccobean (it was also expensive). The Tulum tour was much more enjoyable and highly worth seeing. we really enjoyed this tour.

Who Goes
The fellow passengers were a mixed bunch, And I am in contact with some who we made friends with which is nice and yes I would invite them over for dinner..
