Itinerary: Caribbean
I sailed the western Caribbean last May on the Majesty of the Seas (RCCL) and this May on the Grand Princess. I enjoyed the Grand Princess thoroughly. (And I had really enjoyed our journey on the Majesty). On the Grand, we never waited in a line for anything. We went as a group of eight friends and were accommadated in every way. The crew was not quite as friendly as RCCL but the dinner service and most service was more prompt. The room was an obstructed view room and I liked it better than my un-obstructed room on RCCL. The destinations were pleasant but they could have spent more time on the 3rd and final stop (Princess Cays the Princess private beach in the Bahamas). It was even nicer than Labadee Haiti, RCCL's private beach, and I loved that one.
5 pools insured that you always could get pool time. Prominade
deck circled the whole ship, a bonus.
Food and Service were great and the 24 hour Horizon court was better than "midnight buffets".
Cabin was perfect for the price. No noise at all from neighbors but the lounge downstairs was heard until they quit the music (we were on Emerald Deck)
Hypnotist, we enjoyed so much that we went 3 times..... Other shows were great. We sat 1st or 2nd row almost always...
Typical Caribbean islands - St. Thomas and St. Martin.
Many older folks, very few children this voyage, 8 of us were 30s and 40s majority on the ship averaged 45 to 55.
