Itinerary: Bermuda

Overview
Due to its small capacity (640 passengers) the ship's atmosphere was very cozy and intimate. It was easy to get to know other passengers and the crew staff. It's perfect for a 1st-time cruiser.

Public Areas
Despite its small size, the ship offered sufficient public areas. It was easy to get from one area to another. I suppose my favorite area was the Carousel Lounge because that's where all of my favorite activities occurred--especially the stage shows. We were constantly amazed by how well the evening performers fared on the compact stage.

Food and Service
The food was excellent & plentiful. Good selection. We preferred the more formal dining room meals but the buffets in the Lido Deck were very good too. And we loved the midnight buffets.

Cabins
Cabin was sufficient since we were seldom in it. The shower space was passable (a bit tight). Our particular room was often noisy since it was situated under one of the dance floors. But we didn't lose any sleep over it.

Entertainment
I attended ALL of the shows. How can I describe the evening Broadway-type shows? MARVELOUS! Our cruise director, Chris Nichol, was a terrific performer and the featured guest, Tara, was excellent. All of the chorus line performers could be ranked among the dancers we see on Broadway.

Activities
The programs were all fun: Name that Tune, Trivia, Karaoke, Wooden Dice Horse racing, Bingo, Country Line Dancing, etc. The cruise staff made it so much fun and everyone had a terrific time! My 8-year-old niece attended the youth programs and she enjoyed them very much.

Who Goes
Our fellow passengers were nice. Mostly on the mature side but, yes, I would invite a few of them over for dinner if I had the chance. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to have some pleasant conversations with several couples which I'm sure occurred due to the intimate nature of the Love Boat ship.
