Itinerary: Australia
Food downgraded considerably from one year ago on Royal Princess. Movies very old and even repeated two in a 14 day cruise. Show entertainment still good but much less variety. Budgets cuts were evident everywhere.
Ship itself is still 5 star; very nice ,large cabins and good public areas. Casino too noisy and located in what could have been the best lounge area.
Main dining room was fine. Lido deck food selection, quality, and presentation were totally unacceptable.
Outstanding; best head and shower we have seen on any ship. Storage and closet were very generous. Ship is 5 star but food and entertainment were quite sub par. Cruise director was nothing but a company cheerleader.
As stated above, production shows were quite good but other entertainment reduced. For example one comedian for the entire show; it got boring. On last year's cruise we has a comic, a singer, and a dancer.
Tours were good and organization was excellent
A new class of travelers. They don't understand tipping or are too cheap. Dress rules were never enforced. On formal nights, many sport coats were in evidence and only half the men wore tuxedos. On casual nights, people wore golf shirts only, few jackets and many "T shirts" in evidence
