Itinerary: Alaska-Inside Passage

Overview
We were totally impressed with every aspect of our cruise on this ship. The balcony room was spacious, the food was wonderful, the excursions were amazing, everyone was helpful and friendly. We have already booked another cruise on the Caribbean Princess for next year and plan to return for another Alaskan cruise in a few years.

Public Areas
All areas were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed meeting our friends in the Wheelhouse Bar before dinner..great music. We walked A LOT trying to figure out where everything was..Got it down good by the 5th day!!

Food and Service
We chose the 8 pm seating in the dining room, but did try one of the gourmet restaurants one night...plan to just stick with the dining room next time. Ate in the buffet mostly for breakfast and lunch..all was very good. Most times in the buffet we were able to get a table by the window. Very efficient staff.

Cabins
Cabin was larger than we expected, very comfortable. Closet was very large and across from the bath..made a nice private dressing area. Shower was large enough...it is a ship! Very quiet and peaceful.

Entertainment
Attended two shows and both were very entertaining. Went to one lecture on Ketchikan...couldn't stay awake and won't do that again. All staff and entertainers were wonderful.

Activities
Suggest you take an excursion at each port. The towns are cute but after the first one, they are all very similar. You can't really get the flavor of Alaska walking around the town. Stopped at Ketchikan (cutest town), Juneau (good shopping) Skagway (spent the entire time on a raft in an eagle preserve..fantastic!) Victoria..arrived at 6pm, so went on a pub tour..been there before and there is alot to walk around and see.

On days at sea, we took dance lessons, went to a wine tasting, visited the spa, played bingo, sat on our balcony and looked for whales.

Who Goes
We were traveling with friends, so we really didn't hook up with others. We did dine at a table for 8 thinking it would be fun to meet others. Got a really dull bunch..2 didn't talk, one, bless her heart, had the beginning stages of Alzhiemer's, and the last one just wanted to talk about how much beer he could drink. Next trip we will request a table just for our group.
