Itinerary: Alaska-Inside Passage
We had a land/sea Princess cruise. The land tours were unbearably long motor coach (spin talk for Greyhound bus). Some trips took all day and the 300 millionth tree looked pretty much like the first one. We saw a moose (maybe) that was a few hundred yards away, a couple of rabbits and some sheep. Hotels were clean, food was mediocre, service from young temp hires from all over the world was great as were the attitudes of these young folks. Would not bore myself with another land cruise from Princess.
Public areas were comfortable had it not been for the smokers. Having smoking areas in open rooms is like having a peeing area in a swimming pool.
Food was good but not great. Service was very good. Waiters and service personnel were upbeat, helpful and positive.
Nice cabins. Big Balconies. Great views. Excellent cabin steward.
All shows were amateurish which figures. You don't get top acts on cruise ships.
Shore trips were mostly good to fair with a couple standing out like a helicopter ride to the top of a glacier and a walk-abut there. Go-Karts through rough terrain was a hoot with us all returning wet, muddy and smiling. Obvious manipulation by tour to sell you T-shirts at the end of the cold muddy trip since you were wet and cold.
Travelled with friends so yes.
