Itinerary: South Pacific
Great ship - well presented with good facilities. Excellent itinerary - if a little busy for dedicated cruisers. Staff were great, but on board pricing was extreme - if you are paying in Aussie dollars. Prefer the Star cruises program of personal choice dining.
Public areas are fine but a walkaround promenade deck would be great. Pool is small but that is of little interest to us. Show room is good - with plenty of space.
Food is good - but if you have done more than one Princess Cruise, it becomes very predictable. Buffet was excellent for breakfast and lunch, but is closed for dinner. It might provide an alternative after a hot day on an island.
Cabins are brilliant. Well furnished - with plenty of space all round. We had a standard balcony cabin and it was great. Bathroom facilities are good - although the shower is a little cramped and the curtain a little clingy.
We went to all the shows, and they were good. The costumes and the cruise staff regulars were brilliant. The personalities were subject to personal taste. I thought that they were OK.
Read, slept, ate and drank just about sums it up. The library was also excellent - but we didn't really partake in the organised activities.
All age groups, but predominantly 40 +. The range was better than I thought, with quite a number of honeymooners.
