Absolutely! The cruise succeeded marvelously in delivering anything and everything you would want from a 7 day vacation. From the the unbeatable quality of food, to the meticulous level of service, to the classiness and detail with which the ship and crew presented themselves, this cruise is a must for anyone seeking to buy a ticket to paradise.
The public areas, it seemed to me, were by far capable of supporting ten times as many passengers as it did. Not once was there a time that I could not find an intimate place for two, not in any lounge. Everywhere you go there is this incredible atmosphere, whether you are sprawled across a couch in the Champagne Lounge listening to your favorite requests done by an incredible trio, or just indulge in the warm air on a lounge chair on one of the numerous decks. The casino is always ringing, the Viking Crown is always jumping, and everyone is in the best of spirits. The feeling of having the world at your command is priceless, and so the cost of the ticket is quite the bargain.
Food and Service... excellent. It was a great experience meeting such a crew. Their attention to your every need was flattering, and I couldn't help but feel myself very spoiled like a child. The food was great, but even better than the quantity was the quality. How they manage to churn out the numbers of meals is one thing, but how they do it with such excellence is beyond me. I couldn't imagine a better dining experience - anywhere - so to find it on a cruise ship was quite the surprise.
Although the cabin was small, it was what we paid for. Regardless, it was so elegant that just being there was a pleasure. Everything seemed to be just right, from the size of the shower to the comfort of the beds to the TV programming. The room was also very quiet, though after the kind of fun-filled days spent there, I can't imagine someone not sleeping like a log.
Yes, all of them! Does that tell you if they were any good? Each and every night, the shows did not fail to entertain. From the comedians to the singers to the guest stars, everything was done with great taste. Nothing too loud or too tacky, but always fun.
The child care was excellent, providing service from very early in the morning to very late at night, allowing parents to really enjoy their vacation. The health club was quite nice, providing free weight, numerous machines, and various classes every day.
Our fellow passengers were wonderful, but if they weren't, it is not something to blame on the cruise line. Some of the people I met, in fact, I still communicate with every week. Good people, great times, and an overall unforgettable experience.
