Our Cruise with RCCL on the Explorer has been the best yet. She is a beautiful ship with more than enough activities on board to keep one occupied. Comparing this to our other cruises; one each on the Imagination, Fantasy, and HALs' Ryndam, it was a mixture between Carnivals Party theme and HALs quieter atmosphere. This ship is excellent for the novice or the weathered cruiser.
We kept finding ourself in the 24 hour cafe promenade nibbling on their excellent small speciality sandwiches, cookies and enjoying the coffee. Its also right next to the sprinkles ice cream bar, love those hickory nuts as a topping.
The service in our room and at the dinning table was the best yet, by far the most friendly and professional least intrusive we have experienced.
The cabins were extremely nice, we had a balcony on the rear of the ship. I did fill out a comment card as we disembarked and stated that our so called private balcony could be seen by several other balcony dwellers as we could see theirs. This is the only negative comment I made.
We attended the evening shows prior to or after our early dinner seating. I enjoyed Carnivals regular entertainers; song and dance, much better than the ones on the Explorer. The speciality one person acts were excellent.
You really have to stop and make sure you have visited every area or partake in the activity you planned on. We wanted to play put put golf, which I heard was a challenging course, but completely forgot about it. We'll catch it next time!
Wide range of ages and interest.
