Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern
I've been in a previous cruise with Carnival and I just came back from a cruise with Royal Caribbean and I wanted to let the world know that Royal Caribbean was far the best cruise I've had. I went on the "Grandeur of the Seas" and traveled to the Eastern Caribbean. The service was outstanding and the food was great. If I had the opportunity to go on another cruise in the future, I know I can count on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
The pool deck was always crowded, but I never had a problem finding a lounge chair. I had a choice to either spent my day in the outdoor pool or the Solarium. There was always a place to sit and listen music or just plain relax. My favorite lounge was the Viking Crown, because all the good music they played. Although, the only thing I do want Royal Caribbean to have in the near future is latin night at the Viking Crown. Believe me, for a hispanic man like myself, listening to latin music for one hour of the seven nights I had is not enough.
There is only one word I could describe about the food and service I had on Royal Caribbean, AWESOME!!! I never had such a service on the dining room like waiters have provided for me. The waiters were always friendly and they made sure that the food we gotten was pleasing. For example, if I did not like the food I just ate, they will immediately change my course of meal. The windjammer of course was real tasty. I enjoy the food the had even though I am not very big on buffets.
The cabins were good. My family and I slept very well in our cabins, especially for cabin with no window. Every day our cabin attendant fix our room and especially at night. It was always quiet and I had no problem sleeping at night. I read many articles on how the cabins are small on the "Grandeur of the Seas," but in my opinion I do not care wether I had a cabin with a balcony or an indoor with no ocean view The only time I spent time in my cabin is to change cloth, take a shower or sleep. If I wanted to see the ocean, all I had to do is to go outside and enjoy it. Call me old fashion.
I had no complain about the entertainment. My dream was to see a Las Vegas show and it came true for me on Royal Caribbean. You can say that everything I wanted in a vacation happened. In my opinion, Royal Caribbean gave me all the entertainment that I greatly enjoyed.
There was always something to do on the ship. Wether you like the wine testing seminar or the cooking tips, there was always something to do for everyone of all ages. I had the opportunity to go to Labadee, San Juan, St. thomas and Coco Cay. Let me tell you that I was bless with the perfect weather. All four islands had so many activities. I had a choice between the shore excursion or just go out and explore on your own. I decided to go out and explore on my own because that gave me all the time I needed to explore the four islands.
The passengers was great. I met so many people of all ages and they all had one thing in common, and that is having fun. Everyone had fun on the ship. In my seven days on the ship, I have not seen anyone as far as I know who did not had a good time.
