Date of Trip: May 6, 1998
Itinerary: Hawaii
With my wife and best friends who have joined us cruising on (I
think) 20 some-odd cruises, we departed Acapulco en route to Hawaii.
Thoroughly enjoyed the six-day crossing. The ship was immaculate, service great, and views nothing less than spectacular. Enjoyed our Mini-Suite with veranda stateroom. We are spoiled!
Thought the "Legend of the Greens", a miniature golf course
very clever and fun. Spa area and facilities excellent. Massage by male
masseur a bit heavy-handed; next time massages only by females. Show lounge was large and very accommodating. Main problem was with government intervention by way of verifying immigration. Line snaked the length of the ship and took two hours to get through the BS. Casino and staff very friendly.
Thought evening food and service to be very good. Given that this ship is not in the caliber of Crystal Cruises, they do a very good job. As a comparison, a recent cruise aboard Celebrity's "Century", proved to be
a much better ship vis a vis Legend as far as quality of food is concerned. Thought buffets were about as good or bad as most other cruises sans Crystal.
Cabin was Superior Ocean View which means you have a larger cabin
with veranda. Stateroom very clean and staff very accommodating.
Very good, all very professional.
Six days at sea, a great time to read and relax.
Mostly veteran cruisers who enjoyed the days at sea. Most people over 45.
