Itinerary: Transcanal
We thought this was a great ship, good service, good food.
We were happy with the itinerary, the ports and shore excursions were good. The canal transit was wonderful. Lots to see and just enough to do. Entertainment was very good. Were happy with all of the trip.
Public areas were good. The show lounge has very good seating. We found no bad seats. We always love the view from the Viking Crown Lounge.
We enjoyed the food and the service. Our head waiter was very attentive (not just on the last night) as has happened on some ships. He brought special items and checked several times each nite to see if anything was needed.
Our cabin was very nice. We took one with a balcony on this trip because of the full day in the canal and it was great. Good closet space. We like the safe in the room also. It was not noisy at all.
We attended the shows on most nights. The Cruise staff were very helpful and the entertainers were good.
The shore excursions were very good. We stopped at Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Costa Rica (loved the National Theater), thru the canal, Columbia (O.K.) and Aruba was a delight. Would go back there to stay. The pool and health club was good. Child care not needed.
Most passengers were great. We sat at a table for ten. We still keep in touch with one couple from Virginia via e-mail. The other three couples were from California and very fun to be with. yes, we would love to have them over for dinner.
