Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern
The food was standard cruise food, activities were about like any other cruise. Seemed to be very unorganized when it came to organized activities.
We were very disappointed with this cruise! We took our 3 girls who will graduate this year for
their graduation present. The first port it rained which was not the fault of Royal Caribbean but the 2nd port they did not have enough tender boats to take everyone to shore. No one seemed to know what was going on. We were told to sit in a lounge and wait to get off at 10:30am and given numbers to
wait to be called to go, so we waited, at 1:30 We decided to go on deck so at least we could wait in the sun, (It was the only hot sunny day we had).
At 2PM I was so mad I went to
the guest relations deck to see if we were even going to get off the ship and go to Grand Cayman, I was told they didn't know if we would or not. Knowing this was the only time my girls would probably be there, I explained how we had saved for years to be able to go on this cruise. They didn't seem to really care. There were several other people in line complaining too. At 2:30 we finally got off the ship which left one hour to try to see some of the island. But we had to be back on board by 3:30 because the last tender boat would leave by then.
There were 5 other ships in port that day so
shopping was impossible, you couldn't even get in the door. The girls did not get anything to take home from either
island or see any of either island. What a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. I have taken 6 other cruises during my life and this is the only one we have had any problems with.
It really ruined our cruise. I know problems come up but this
was totally unacceptable!!!
It was pretty obvious Royal Caribbean had screwed up and the passengers had to be the ones who suffered. Maybe if their would have been at least an apology it would have been a little easier to take. But I was told if they made an apology then they would be admitting that they screwed up and that could lead to lawsuits. So they just let about 4000 people be ticked off. Not a good public relations move! I have taken 5 Carnival Cruises and 2 Royal Caribbean, I will take Carnival from now on. Basically Royal Caribbean just didn't care!! I would think twice about cruising with Royal Caribbean
Our wait staff was excellent Henry and Erdem.
This was fine.
Comedian the first show was good. The second comedian
wasn't funny at all, he just told Jewish jokes.
You need to announce the activities better, most of the time you couldn't understand what was being said, especially out
around the pool.
No, I would not invite them to dinner.
