This cruise was the best. I went on the Monarch in June of 2000,
11-18. It was my first cruise & I had the time of my life. Everything about
this cruise was perfect, Including the delicious food, Our EXCELLENT
waiters, Juan from Japan & Jose from Nicaragua. They were so entertaining &
amusing! My nice clean cabin & the cabin steward was very friendly. The
lounges & the casino were great. The pool deck was huge & they always had
outside activities going on for everyone. The shops on the ship were fun to
shop in mainly cause you could by anything for yourself or someone else.
They had a great exercise room for those who like to work out. The
beautiful islands, St. Thomas, Barbados, Antigua, St. Maarten, St. Lucia &
of course San Juan. We took a tour of each island which I enjoyed very much.
I also enjoyed the people of the islands & the beaches. All the staff &
personnel on the ship were so friendly & they really took care of you.
Especially if you had a question or you were not happy about something. I was always happy on this cruise. I
enjoyed dinner every evening & our wonderful table mates. I never had a
problem with anything. I would recommend this cruise to anyone. I am looking
forward to boarding the Monarch again in 2001 & I already can't wait. I
could go on & on about the wonderful time I had on this cruise. Happy
cruising!
I loved all the lounges. The pool & the casino were just as
nice. You could relax by the pool or play any slot machine you want in the
casino & there is always a waitress or waiter coming up to you & asking you
if they can serve you a drink. Plenty of walking around on the ship without
always being so crowded.
The food & service was just perfect! I couldn't have asked
for better service & the food was always very tasty & fresh. Especially our
meals at dinner time in the dinning room. I never had a problem with the
food. Our waiters were splendid & they did a fine job taking care of us.
Our cabins were so clean & very comfortable. The cabin steward was
very friendly & he cleaned our cabin everyday. You get a clean set of sheets
on your bed. I was very satisfied with my cabin. I had a good nights sleep
every night for the little amount of sleep I did get.
The entertainment was excellent & I would rate the
entertainers & the cruise staff a perfect "10"
All the ports were beautiful! St. Thomas, Antigua, San Juan,
Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Maarten. We took a tour of each island & enjoyed
every island & the people of the islands. the beaches were very pretty too.
I loved all our friends we met on the ship. Especially our
table mates. One couple is from Canada & the other is from South Dakota. We
all still keep in touch through E-mails & I hope to see them again in the
future. We also had a great couple who are breakfast with us almost every
morning. They were from Kentucky. I thought everyone we met on the ship was
so friendly indeed.
