This cruise gets an overall excellent review from me and my
expectations were met far and beyond what I had imagined they would be. My experience was fantastic and all the crew was very friendly as well as professional every step of the way. If you are considering a small getaway, I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone!
I was very comfortable with all public areas on this ship
whether on deck or inside the atrium as well as the lounges we stopped by. All of these vicinities were very spacious, well maintained, full with crew ready to assist, and nicely decorated..
The food on this cruise was exceptional from beginning to
end. The welcome buffet was held in the Windjammer Cafe which was awesome
and featured a wide selection of all kinds of foods available during the day
for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. The Kismet dining room was
absolutely beautiful and we found our wait staff service to be always very
attentive, friendly, and polite. The menu selections were very impressive
from appetizers down to main courses. Also, the midnight buffet on deck was
exquisite which included several ice sculptures provided alongside a nice
array of dishes that included Caribbean and Mexican along with many more
varieties (can't remember all) as well as desserts/fruit as well.
The cabin was more than adequate for two adult size people and
didn't find ourselves cramped at all as the closet had good size room and
suitcases easily slid under the bed. The stateroom was clean including the
bathroom; shower was enough space and the bed was comfortable also. The
walls were insulated very well so we were not exposed to any of our
neighbors noise or hallway traffic and hardly noticed there were other
people around on the floor once inside the cabin. Our gracious cabin
attendant greeted us with a big smile every morning and left us "towel
animals" and chocolates on the pillows during the stay.
We attended the welcome aboard/departing shows and they were
all grand! All the performers were very talented with great stage presence
and left me very impressed afterwards. We also attended a performance with a
juggler who also did various skits/comedy on stage. He was entertaining and
kept the audience enthralled during the entire show. The cruise director
introduced herself afterwards and seemed to be very interested in assuring
everyone was satisfied and having a terrific time.
We sailed to Nassau and had a neat time just touring the
downtown parts with our party along with taking in some shopping. Due to the
beginning effects of Hurricane Michelle, we were not able to stop at CoCoCay
so spent the day at sea and decided on exploring other parts of the ship
that day. There was a health club/spa but we didn't visit or take advantage
of babysitting. We did however visit the pool, casino, and shows with a great
time.
All the passengers that I saw and encountered all over the ship
during this whole cruise were very well-behaved, respectful, and courteous
so would not have a problem inviting them over. It seemed most if not all
were on vacations primarily with friends, family members, or mates and very
much enjoying their company.
