Cruises are great. Everyone should take at least one cruise.
Regarding Sovereign of the Seas, the ship has a great staff. However, the
ship needs a complete interior renovations. Food was good, but the selection
were more limited than in prior cruises. Rooms were in need of
refurbishing. This ship is a 3 or 4 day cruise. This is too short.
Public areas were a little run down. Most areas need to be
refurbished. You can tell that the interior has had a lot of people
traffic.
Food was good, but they had a limited menu from previous
cruises. Service was good.
Here again, the cabins that I was in were in need of
a good refurbishment. Carpet was matted and stained, shower/bath had a been
caulked numerous times, paint walls were old looking.
So,so! Nothing to write home about. The cruise director made a couple of speeches about how everyone needs a excellent rating on the evaluation. He said this several times and frankly, I was tired of hearing about it.
Lots of activities. Something for everyone. We took advantage
of the sitting service. This was good.
This three day cruise had a variety of people. I was very surprised about the dress code on this 3 day trip.
