Overview
I totally loved returning after almost a 24 year past visit, Since she was the M.S. Caribe with the defunct Commodore Cruise Lines. I took in past 2 seven day cruises on her from Miami in early 80's. She has seen more glamorous days and guests. She is clean, in working order and a steal for what is offered, cheaper than any hotel, that would include no meals.

I miss the older smaller ships, all now scrapped for age and profits made by new and bigger ones. I remember her classy appeal, thick royal plush carpet, china with the Commodore Logal she once had no replaced with a cheaper version. I also remember the library and gym now since closed because of the shortness of the cruise of two night. The ship, is yes small and old, can't change that. It has been refitted with safety gear, tv's and phones and a computer work area over the years. The staff is friendly, attentive, mostly Filipino and mostly from the Oceanbreeze and defunct Dolphin / Premier Cruise Lines. Have been on many new ships but still will sail again aboard a truly reliable trusted friend. Alan Miller, Miami

Public Areas
Yes areas are small yet clean. Small hallways, and ceilings have been lowered to provide for sprinklers and lighting improvements

Food and Service
Attentive, friendly, food was fresh and hot. Even Captains Gala was excellent, OK no Lobster. They did clean tables, serve hot fresh food, offer a nice choice and still had baked Alaska with flames. A little dangerous with a old wooden ship. The original glass mirrors and art decor is till in tack, except for the wicker cane back chairs replaced with black metal chairs that came from the Oceanbreeze which they sold, I was also on which Premier Cruises owned

Cabins
Cabins, clean, bright, large in most upper decks, still has outside portholes, and suites were added with open verandas since Commodore years. TV's only receive a channel or two and not to clearly. Well who cares it is a 2 night cruise. You don't cruise to watch TV in your cabin unless you are a hermit.

Entertainment
Shows are entertaining, hokey, low budget. I did not expect to see Madonna or Cher on a $150 two night cruise.

Activities
Pool is there, clean and functioning, New plastic Walmart deck chairs, all clean and near by. Pool area had music and drinks served daily by pleasant bar staff and prices are reasonable

Who Goes
Cruise Lovers of old ships, past guest as myself wanting to take in memories, first time cruises for a short trip, and yes people on a budget, and people just there to gamble. Couples who just wanted a nookie weekend was a fast cheap get away. I loved the cruise. The memorized, service, value. I especially liked the single rate discount I received, and the future promotions they offer me as a past quest. I only wish they sailed from Miami rather than Ft. Lauderdale.
