Itinerary: Mediterranean

Overview
This cruise stops at many historic ports. The ships crew has service to the passenger uppermost in mind. There is no shortage of waiters etc. in the dining areas. The ambiance and dining facilities are super.

Public Areas
The show lounge was very good and provided the audience with a close relationship to the crew and entertainers. What I disliked was the SPA. There was a charge for the steam room for the period of the cruise of $ 100.00 per person. This included a salt water jaccusi - which was not used but seldom by the passengers

Food and Service
There were 4 dining rooms An Italian restaurant, a Grill, a club room and a Buffet..The Grill and club room were excellent. We did not go to the Italian restaurant, but I feel certain this was excellent also (according to others who ate there. The Buffet had ample choice of good food. We ate breakfast everyday at the buffet

Cabins
The cabins were well appointed and felt comfortable. Each cabin had a balcony with sliding glass door to the outside. The thing I didn't like was the metal shelf on the left hand door of the closet. I bumped it numerous times which caused a wound on my left arm each time. This shelf should be removed!

Entertainment
I would rate the shows as excellent. The performers were professional and very talented. The cruise staff established a repour soon as we boarded the ship.

Activities
There were many tours to choose from . At least 3 tours were offered at each port of call. The tours of cities became stereotyped with a visit to a cathedral, mosque or similar religious facility ( very boring after a while.) I liked Gibraltar the most.

Who Goes
The passengers were mostly retired persons from varied states and backgrounds. We did not socialize with any long enough to feel like we would invite them to a dinner at our home. This is probably due to the open eating and dining rooms reservation system. One couple was close and we reserved dinner at the dining rooms several times.
