One word sums up our experience: Exceptional!!
The ship was completely rebuilt in 2002. The public rooms are of a standard that is like a villa at sea. No cruise ship here! Elegant, understated, fabulous artwork, extensive use of wood. Simply elegant.
The food would rate 2 Michelin stars ashore. Everything from the caviar and foie gras, vegetarian, sumptuous meat dishes was perfectly prepared and served. Wonderful waiters remembered our names, drinks and other preferences from the first moment.
Elegantly appointed. High-tech with DVD, flat screen TC, CD player, internet connection (they even supply a laptop), huge multi-head showers, Bvlgari amenities, Belgian linens, and huge towels. The Asian stewardesses are wonderful!
The Piano Bar and Top of the Yacht Bar were perfect. Who needs more? This is a yacht, not a cruise ship.
Firstly, the Asian Spa is perfect! I had a massage every day. The ports were small and elegant: Portofino, Cannes, St. Tropez, Porquerolles, Cassis, Monte Carlo and Nice. Excellent tours and even hiking with the Captain! The yacht provides bikes, and even organizes biking with the social staff.
All of our fellow guests were of a similar economic level. Otherwise they couldn't be there. We made several friends who we keep in touch with, and are returning to SeaDream with next spring. We plan to make 2 SeaDream trips a year.
For us, it's like our own private yacht.
