Overview
Not cheap but can't recommend it highly enough. Read other reviews which seem to be fair. Great ship. Small is good. No kids. Great food. Good sports. Who cares if there isn't a casino or stage show. The ambience is simply fantastic.

Public Areas
This is a true sailing ship and the decor is appropriate throughout. Plenty of teak, brass and antique prints. All areas are fine and you can include the bowsprit and the bridge as a public area! Plenty of space for lounging and little or no sun bed bagging. On days with tours I felt I was on my own private yacht.

Food and Service
Food was really good. Usual 24 hr eats if you want. Breakfast, lunch and tea is buffet and casual dress. Dinner is smart casual with no need for a jacket. Dinner is one sitting and you sit where you want but don't expect to be alone. Service was excellent and if sometimes a little slow, who cares . . . we're here for the evening. If you want fast food go ashore a get a burger! Had to go up the wine list to get anything decent.

Cabins
We were in Cat 2 and more room than on the QE2. Nicely furnished, plenty of locker room and everything you'd expect. Only a few inside cabins.

Entertainment
Entertainment was dire but if you need a casino or a big stage show then this is not for you. I enjoyed the crew talent night . . .it was a laugh. Other nights included a crab race and a general knowledge quiz . . . you get the idea. It's the people that make it.

Activities
Didn't do any of the tours as we prefer to go it alone. Generally get a taxi into town and have a walk round. Preferred the beach stops where we could get ashore, enjoy a BBQ and get in some water sports such as water skiing and board sailing. Scuba available at reasonable cost.

Who Goes
Only 140 out of a max 170 on board. Roughly split in quarters between US, UK, Germany and rest (French, Australian, South African). Main language English (hurrah) though most info translated into German and French. Age mainly between 50 and 65. No kids (hurrah) and not recommended for kids as no programme and no careers.
