Itinerary: Hawaii
Thank god we were in Hawaii and the destinations were beautiful,
however the ship was dissapointing and the food was inedible.
Promenade deck needed floors varnished, pools a joke, no
casino on board.
Service was adequate, however the food was terrible. I was embarrased for the servers.
Full size shower, enough closet space, but my neighbors got up at 5
AM every day and therefore so did I and had to listen to them talk loudly
and cough all morning.
Attended shows, embarassing.
We rented Jeeps every day and went driving and spent time at
the local resorts on Kauai and Maui, where the food was wonderful. I don't
have any complaints about the excursions, Hawaii is beautiful
Fellow passengers were wonderful, but I felt sorry for them. One
couple had flown 15 hours from Connecticut, they were very disappointed.
Another couple from Denver had been on 43 cruises including this one. When
asked what they thought of this one, they gave it a thumbs down and said
that it was #43 at the bottom of their list. Everyone was complaining about
how bad the cruise was. First day of cruise cabins flooded on third deck
and therefore we were without water, next day we had showers but no toilets,
third day we had no hot water, and the final day of the cruise we were 3
hours late leaving our final port because the anchors became twisted. The
week before the cruise had to skip the last port, Kona, because the air
conditioning went out so they headed straight for Honolulu. Even without
these problems the cruise was dissapointing, the food was utterly terrible.
